The Pillar Cement Candle

Most pillar candles are wax from top to bottom. This one isn't. The lower half is cast in a raw, terracotta-toned cement finish — matte, faintly porous, unmistakably solid — and the wax begins where the cement ends, the two meeting in a rough edge of gold leaf that looks different on every piece. It's a candle built to be looked at as much as lit, sitting on a table the way a piece of sculpture would.

Sold as a set of three heights, so the table gets a skyline rather than three identical shapes.
